Job Title: HGV Technician
Location: Crawley
Salary: £48,930k Basic
Shift: 4on 4off Nights 
Overtime: Paid at an enhanced rate

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established HGV maintenance company with depots across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced HGV Technician to their Crawley workshop.

The Role:

As an HGV Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles and specialist airport equipment. Working alongside a skilled workshop team, your duties will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance
• Conducting vehicle inspections and safety checks
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards

Vehicles & Equipment You’ll Work On:

This is a varied role where you’ll gain experience working on a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including:

• Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
• Aircraft tugs
• Baggage trolleys
• Electric vehicles (EVs)
• Vans
• HGVs
• Minibuses
• Airport shuttle buses
• Specialist airport vehicles

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Good knowledge of HGVs and trailers
• Class 1 (C+E) licence is advantageous but not essential
