Hire Desk Controller
Salary: 28,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

We are looking for a Hire Desk Controller to join a busy and growing team, managing hire enquiries and requests while delivering excellent customer service and efficient administration.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Hire Desk Controller

• Process customer on and off hire requests accurately and efficiently in line with company procedures.
• Raise purchase orders and hire contracts using internal systems.
• Liaise with suppliers and customer sites to arrange the supply of plant and equipment.
• Monitor deliveries, resolve any issues, and escalate where necessary.
• Ensure all supplier paperwork relating to hires is accurate and complete.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, customer sites and internal teams.
• Work within agreed deadlines whilst managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What We’re Looking for in a Hire Desk Controller

• Previous experience in a Hire Desk, Plant Hire, Customer Service or Administration role is desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently whilst contributing as part of a team.
• IT literate with the ability to learn and use internal systems proficiently.
• Positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to work.
• Plant hire or construction industry knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
• Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
