Kemp Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading plant and equipment hire company for a Mobile Service Engineer based near Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business where you’ll be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance across a range of plant equipment.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, providing excellent customer service and keeping equipment in top working condition.

The Role
As a Mobile Service Engineer, you’ll travel to customer sites carrying out planned maintenance and servicing on a wide range of plant and equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Changing engine oil, hydraulic oil, filters and other service items
• Completing routine safety inspections and health checks
• Greasing, lubricating and adjusting machinery in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Replacing consumable parts where required
• Identifying and reporting any defects or potential repair work
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation accurately
• Liaising with customers and providing a professional service on-site
• Maintaining your company vehicle and ensuring all tools are kept in good condition
• Working closely with the service team to ensure planned maintenance schedules are met

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Mobile Service Engineer, Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, HGV Technician or Service Technician
• Experience carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on plant, agricultural, construction or commercial equipment
• Good mechanical knowledge and the ability to work independently
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A proactive and organised approach to work
• A full UK driving licence
