Role: Fire and Security Engineer
Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE + Door to Door + Van (personal use permitted)
Location: London & Surrounding Areas
Shift: 40 hours per week
Overtime: Offered at 1.5x
Are you an experienced Fire and Security Engineer looking to join a growing team working across enterprise-level security systems? My client is expanding and looking to add a skilled engineer to cover London and surrounding areas. This role involves carrying out reactive works, planned maintenance and small works across commercial and enterprise environments. You will work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider engineering team.
As a Fire and Security Engineer you will be responsible for
Carrying out reactive callouts, preventative maintenance, remedial works and small installations across commercial and enterprise sites.
Installing, configuring, testing and servicing CCTV, access control, intruder detection and fire alarm systems.
Diagnosing and resolving hardware, cabling, software and system integration faults.
Completing system testing, commissioning and fault finding to ensure reliable and compliant operation.
Maintaining accurate job sheets, service reports, test records and commissioning documentation.
Ensuring all work complies with industry standards, company procedures and NSI/NACOSS Gold requirements.
Following RAMS, health & safety procedures and safe working practices at all times.
Delivering high standards of workmanship, system reliability and customer service.
Working effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
The successful Fire and Security Engineer will have the following experience
Proven experience in the servicing, maintenance or installation of electronic security and fire systems.
Experience with fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV/VMS and access control systems.
Familiarity with systems such as Axis, Paxton, Milestone, C-Cure, Hikvision, Videx, BPT/Came, Pyronix, Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom, C-Tec, Advanced and Kentec would be advantageous.
Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and technical problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret schematics, floor plans and technical wiring diagrams.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional approach.
Strong commitment to teamwork, personal development and high engineering standards.
Willingness to undertake technical upskilling and manufacturer training where required.
