Field service forklift engineer – Yorkshire

Job Title: Field Service Forklift Engineer
Location: To cover Yorkshire
Basic Salary: £37,000 – £40,000
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–3:30pm (39 hours)

You’ll be joining an established and friendly team as a Field Service Forklift Engineer, covering customer sites across Yorkshire. This is a permanent opportunity within a close-knit, supportive team where everyone works together and enjoys a relaxed, easy-going working environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Attending customer sites to diagnose and repair forklift breakdowns.
• Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance.
• Completing LOLER inspections.
• Diagnosing faults across forklift equipment.
• Quoting customers for required repairs.
• Collecting parts from the depot before attending customer sites.
• Providing a professional and reliable service to customers across Yorkshire.

Experience you will need:

• Experience as a Forklift engineer / Material handling mechanic / Plant Fitter or similar
• Previous forklift engineering experience is highly desirable.
• Ideally, experience working on gas, electric and diesel-powered forklifts.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• A full UK driving licence is required.

Your Package:

• Basic Salary: £37,000 – £40,000
• Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–3:30pm (39 hours)
