HGV Technician (Weekends) – Knowsley

Hours: Friday – Sunday OR Saturday – Monday, 06:00 – 18:00 (34.5 hours per week)
Part time, permanent

Earning Potential – Salary:
£21.95 per hour
Plus enhancement payment of up to £300 per month (based on qualification level)
Bonus scheme available
Realistic OTE: £42,000 – £44,000 (including enhancement and bonus)

Overview
Join an award-winning commercial vehicle dealership in Knowsley as a weekend HGV Technician. This is a part-time, permanent role – Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday – with a strong hourly rate and enhancement payments based on your qualification level. Key Responsibilities

Performing all services according to manufacturer’s instructions and schedule
Carrying out visual inspections, adjustments, fluid changes, and replacement of worn equipment
Identifying deviations and extraordinary wear – initiating order expansions and customer feedback
Resetting maintenance systems
Cleaning and care of customer vehicles
Performing simple repairs – exhausts, mirrors, tyres, balancing, etc.
Carrying out assembly work and repair operations – cooperating with Systems Technicians
Retrofitting and start-up of accessories and detachable body components

What You’ll Need

Full Level 3 NVQ in HGV Maintenance and Repair (essential)
Prior experience in a similar role – main dealership experience desired
UK Driving Licence (essential)
HGV Licence (desired but not essential)
Analytical thinking – ability to analyse information and make decisions
Customer-focused – delivering satisfaction at all times
Disciplined and methodical work approach
Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
Strong team player – contributes positively to team objectives
