Workshop Controller
Salary: £34,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday – Days
Job Type: Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Controller to join an established and busy workshop.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop, coordinating technicians and ensuring servicing, repairs and maintenance are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the daily workshop workload
• Allocate jobs to technicians and monitor progress
• Plan servicing, repairs and maintenance
• Carry out quality checks on completed work
• Liaise with customers and suppliers
• Ensure workshop health & safety standards are maintained
• Support technicians with technical queries where required
• Maintain accurate job cards and workshop paperwork

About You
We are looking for someone with previous Workshop Controller, Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Manager or Chargehand experience, ideally within:

• Plant machinery
• Agricultural machinery
• HGVs / commercial vehicles
• Heavy mechanical equipment

You should have strong mechanical knowledge, excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead and support a team in a busy workshop environment.
A full UK driving licence is required.
