Salary: £47,000 Basic + Overtime
OTE: £52,000-£60,000
Hours: Monday–Friday
Shift Pattern: 7:00am–3:30pm Week 1 / 3:30pm–12:30am Week 2

HGV Mechanic – Sutton-In-Ashfield
Are you an experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician looking for a secure permanent position with excellent overtime opportunities?
Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle dealership, is looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their busy workshop in Sutton-In-Ashfield.

HGV Mechanic Responsibilities
As an HGV Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine HGV inspections and vehicle checks.
• Completing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Carrying out general HGV maintenance and repairs.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and presentation.
• Carrying out engine and gearbox repairs and overhauls.
• Identifying faults and completing repairs to a high standard.
• Completing all required workshop paperwork and documentation.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company standards.

HGV Mechanic Requirements

• Previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HGVs / commercial vehicles.
• Experience with servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Experience preparing vehicles for MOT testing.
• Engine and gearbox repair experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to vehicle maintenance.
