HGV TECHNICIAN Location: Dagenham
Hourly Rate: £25.00 per hour
Shift: 4 on / 4 off – 6:00pm to 6:00am

A well-established HGV maintenance company is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join its team in Dagenham. With ongoing training, development opportunities and a strong reputation within the industry, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician looking for their next move.

The Role – HGV Technician Working as part of an experienced workshop team, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out inspections and routine maintenance on HGVs and trailers
• Completing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and running defects
• Carrying out reactive repairs as required
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing
• Rectifying defects and ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard
• Completing general HGV Technician duties within the workshop

HGV Technician Requirements

• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of HGVs and trailers
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, such as City & Guilds or NVQ
• Good mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• HGV Licence preferred but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
