HGV MECHANIC
Location: Rainham
Hourly Rate: £23.00 per hour
Shift: 4 on / 4 off – 6:00am to 6:00pm

A well-established HGV maintenance company is looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join its team in Rainham. With ongoing training, development opportunities and a strong reputation within the industry, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Mechanic looking for their next move.

The Role – HGV Mechanic
Working as part of an experienced workshop team, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out inspections and routine maintenance on HGVs and trailers
Completing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and running defects
Carrying out reactive repairs as required
Preparing vehicles for MOT testing
Rectifying defects and ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard
Completing general HGV Mechanic duties within the workshop

HGV Mechanic Requirements

Previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician
Strong knowledge of HGVs and trailers
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, such as City & Guilds or NVQ
Good mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
HGV Licence preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
