HGV Technician opportunity

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a stable, days-based role with excellent benefits and opportunities to develop your skills? All overtime paid at 1.5 X
We are seeking 2 skilled HGV Technicians to join a busy engineering team responsible for maintaining and repairing a specialist fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, safety-focused environment where quality workmanship and technical expertise are highly valued.

HGV Technician duties

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and specialist vehicles to include GSE
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete vehicle inspections, brake tests and safety checks.
• Prepare vehicles for compliance inspections and ensure they remain roadworthy.
• Accurately record repairs, inspections and maintenance activities using workshop management systems.
• Liaise with parts departments to ensure efficient repair turnaround times.
• Support fleet reliability and minimise vehicle downtime.

HGV Technician qualifications / Experience required

•  Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Good understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair and inspection procedures.
• HGV Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• HGV Class 2 licence desirable but not essential.
