QHSE Coordinator Opportunity

We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) Coordinator to join our team in a role that is evenly split between Health & Safety and Environmental responsibilities. As a proactive HSE professional, you will be responsible for identifying and reducing workplace risks, improving site safety, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and promoting sustainable working practices across the business.
Working closely with the Quality Manager and Health & Safety Manager, you will support the development, implementation and continual improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, helping to drive a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement throughout the organisation. The successful candidate will be passionate about HSE best practice, committed to protecting people and the environment, and confident in supporting compliance and operational excellence.

QHSE Coordinator Duties

• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, including COSHH and ISO 14001/45001 standards.
• Deliver safety training and oversee workforce compliance.
• Maintain HSE documentation and records.
• Support environmental monitoring (air, water, noise) and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead new employee inductions and in-house safety training.
• Assist with fire drills, safety tests, and emergency preparedness.
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive HSE improvements.
• Occasionally travel to other sites to support inspections and audits.

QHSE Coordinator skills/experience required

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum).
• Experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations, risk management, and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with teams at all levels.
• Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor (desirable).
