Field Service Engineer – Glasgow/Paisley/Motherwell

Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Salary: £32,700 – £35,900 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
8:00am – 4:30pm
Area to cover: West Coast of Scotland
Candidates must be based within the ML , PA, and G postcode areas
Due to an increasing workload, we are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established, employee-focused company. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a field-based role with a competitive salary, great benefits, and long-term career prospects.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on customer equipment
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Completing planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs
• Conducting safety inspections and ensuring equipment remains compliant
• Completing accurate service reports and job documentation
• Managing your workload efficiently while delivering excellent customer service
• Liaising with the parts department to ensure the correct components are sourced and fitted

What you’ll need:

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer or Powered Access Engineer is preferred
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence
• Candidates must be based within the ML , PA, and G postcode areas

Your Package:

• Basic Salary: £32,700 – £35,900 (dependent on experience)
• 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm)
• Overtime available as required
• 25 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days with service
• Company pension scheme
• Company van and fuel card (with personal use allowed)
