HGV Technician

Job Title: HGV Technician
Location: Harlow, Essex
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
Overtime Available

The Role:

As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Using diagnostic equipment including TEXA and Jaltest
• Investigating and rectifying vehicle defects
• Preparing vehicles for MOTs and completing any required rectification work
• Carrying out repairs to a high standard and in line with manufacturer and industry requirements
• Completing service sheets and job documentation accurately
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and professional workshop
• Working independently as well as part of a wider team

About You:

We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician who has:

• Good knowledge of HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Experience carrying out servicing, inspections and repairs
• The ability to diagnose faults logically and efficiently
• A professional attitude and pride in their workmanship
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A self-motivated and reliable approach
• Good attention to detail when completing vehicle and service documentation

Class 1 or Class 2 licence is beneficial but not essential.
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent are desirable.
