Job Title: HGV Technician
Salary: £20 per hour + Overtime
Location: Carlisle
Hours: Monday to Friday – 42.5hrs per week

About your new company:

A specialist within their sector who have been in operation for 100 years. My client is customer focused and ensures constant training is provided to their ever-growing team. They are seeking a skilled Mechanic with a strong background in HGV repair and maintenance. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs and ensuring that all vehicles and trailers are operating safely.

About your new HGV Technician role:

• Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify potential issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including vehicle inspections, MOT test preparation, brake repairs, and service work.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other team members to enhance overall operational efficiency.

The successful HGV Technician will require:

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of HGV and trailers
• Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential)
• You will have industry recognised qualifications as an HGV Technician (NVQ or City & Guilds level 3).
• You must have detailed experience as an HGV Technician and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles.
