£21.80 per hour
Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
Will easily clear £50,000 – with the ability to earn over £60,000 with plenty of overtime

Overview
We’re looking for an HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle specialist in Trafford Park on a 4 on 4 off day shift. You’ll be carrying out maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers, diagnosing faults, and completing permanent repairs. If you’re Level 3 qualified and ready for a strong hourly rate with a great work-life balance, this is the one.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking maintenance and repair activities on commercial vehicles and trailers of all types
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out tests on vehicles
• Effecting permanent and complete repairs
• Completing paperwork and procedures relating to warranty, contract, and retail work
• Carrying out preventative maintenance work to minimise unnecessary customer costs
• Completing any other duties reasonably within your capabilities as instructed by your manager

What You’ll Need

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (essential)
• Experience in diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of vehicles – commercial vehicle experience required
• Organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail
• Manufacturer training courses undertaken – maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data
• Full, current UK driving licence – HGV licence preferred but not essential
• Friendly, confident, and professional manner with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure – both independently and as part of a team
