Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a new opportunity with a varied workload, modern internal fleet of vehicles and consistent weekday working hours?
We are looking for a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join a busy workshop in Bristol, maintaining a large and varied fleet of commercial vehicles
This is a great opportunity to put your technical skills to use, working as part of a team responsible for keeping vehicles safe, reliable and roadworthy.

What you’ll be doing as the HGV Technician
 

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on an internal fleet of HGVs, trailers and a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Complete routine inspections, MOT preparation and repairs arising from driver-reported defects.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and systems.
• Attend breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance, aiming to achieve effective first-time fixes.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer recommendations, warranty procedures and relevant safety standards.
• Accurately record completed work on the fleet management system and report any defects or additional repair requirements.

What we’re looking for in the HGV Technician role
 

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Previous HGV maintenance and repair experience, ideally within a fast-paced workshop.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• A Class 1 HGV driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
