We want to shine a special spotlight on the remarkable women who work with us on International Women’s Day
As we celebrate International Women’s Day today, Kemp Recruitment wants to highlight all the remarkable women who work for us and have been making strides in the field of recruitment.
The recruitment industry is undergoing a transformative shift, and women are playing a pivotal role in shaping its future. At Kemp, we specialise in commercial vehicle recruitment such as HGV mechanics, forklift engineers, Agricultural technicians, PSV Technicians, Bus Drivers and Plant Fitters – to name a few.
As a recruitment agency in this field, we know it is a traditionally very male orientated industry, but we at Kemp have seen our female colleagues achieve remarkable things in recruiting for these fields and feel they deserve some recognition.
We’re incredibly proud to say that 40% of our employees are female. And, our Operations Director Samantha Paterson-Crofts is at the helm, leading from the front.
From talent acquisition to leadership roles, women are proving that they have the skills, expertise, and determination to excel in every aspect of the recruitment process. Even within the more male orientated fields like commercial vehicle recruitment.
Offering a different perspective
One of the key advantages of having more women in recruitment is the inclusion of different / diverse perspectives. Gender diversity in the workplace has been proven to enhance creativity, problem-solving, and overall organisational performance. Women bring unique insights and approaches to talent acquisition, contributing to more inclusive and innovative hiring practices.
International Women’s Day is not just about celebrating achievements; it’s also an opportunity to acknowledge the importance of mentorship and empowerment.
We have found that the women working at Kemp Recruitment support and empower each other, as well as the other members of the team. Women in recruitment can inspire the next generation by sharing their experiences, offering guidance, and creating pathways for aspiring professionals.
While progress is being made, it’s crucial to recognise, and address the challenges that women in recruitment may still face. Closing the gender gap requires a collective effort from the industry. A commitment to providing equal opportunities, eliminating biases, and creating supportive environments is important. All of which we aim to do daily at Kemp Recruitment.
Thank you to all the wonderful women who make Kemp Recruitment what it is today.
