Location: Glengormley
Salary: Up to £31,500 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (42.5 hours per week)

Are you an experienced Parts Advisor looking for your next opportunity within the commercial vehicle industry?

We are currently recruiting for a knowledgeable and organised Parts Advisor to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Glengormley. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a professional team where you’ll play a key role in ensuring technicians and customers receive the right parts at the right time, keeping vehicles on the road and operations running smoothly.

The Role of Parts Advisor

As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the parts department, ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining accurate stock control and supporting the workshop with all parts requirements.
Your duties will include:
 

• Identifying and supplying the correct parts for technicians and customers.
• Processing parts orders efficiently and accurately.
• Managing stock levels, inventory control and goods in/out.
• Liaising with suppliers to source parts and accessories, including urgent requirements.
• Working closely with the workshop to ensure parts availability for servicing and repairs.
• Maintaining accurate records using parts management systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Monitoring stock levels and analysing lost sales.
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient parts department.
• Delivering excellent customer service at every opportunity.

What We’re Looking For in the Successful Parts Advisor
 

• Previous Parts Advisor experience within the commercial vehicle, truck, trailer or automotive sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of truck and trailer parts.
• Experience working within a dealership or main dealer environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• Good IT skills and experience using parts management systems.
• Experience with Kerridge/Keyloop (ADP Autoline) would be advantageous but is not essential.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
