Description
Role: Fire Alarm Engineer
Location: Leeds
Salary: £DOE + Door to door + Van
Shift: Monday – Friday (8.00am – 5.00pm)
My client, a nationally renowned Security and Communications Company that specialise in the design, installation, service and maintenance of integrated security systems and manufacture specialist equipment is looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer to join a growing team in the Leeds area
As a Fire Alarm Engineer you will be responsible for
Servicing, maintaining and commissioning fire alarm systems, including aspiration units and beam detection systems
Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs across a range of fire alarm systems
Understanding and implementing Cause & Effect programming on various fire alarm systems
Ensuring all work complies with current fire safety standards, legislation and company procedures
Demonstrating a willingness to undertake further training, including achieving the Level 3 Fire Alarm qualification (if not already held)
Delivering a high standard of workmanship and ensuring complete customer satisfaction before leaving site
Accurately completing service reports, job sheets, timesheets and all required documentation using the company’s service management system
Providing an outstanding level of customer service at all times
Maintaining safe working practices and complying with all Health & Safety legislation
Participating in the company’s out-of-hours call-out rota
Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure work is completed efficiently and professionally
Identifying opportunities for remedial works, system upgrades and additional services where appropriate
The successful Fire Alarm Engineer will have the following attributes and experience
Proven technical knowledge of fire alarm systems, including servicing, maintenance, fault finding and commissioning.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience maintaining, repairing and commissioning fire alarm systems.
Experience working with Advanced GENT, EMS, Notifier and Climac fire alarm systems.
Strong understanding of Cause & Effect programming and system operation.
Experience diagnosing and resolving faults across a variety of fire alarm systems.
Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office and electronic service management systems.
A willingness to undertake further training and continuously develop technical knowledge.
Full UK Driving Licence.
