Job Title: Hire Desk Controller
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, Day Shift
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 DOE

Join a leading national company specialising in Powered Access hire. Our client, renowned for their exceptional service and extensive fleet, is seeking a dedicated Hire Desk Controller to join their dynamic team.
Job Summary:
As a Hire Desk Controller, you will be the crucial link between our clients, the engineering team, and the transport department. Your role ensures that the right equipment is available and delivered to customer sites on time, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
This is a varied role that combines engineering administration, hire desk support, engineer coordination, parts management, fleet compliance and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities:

• Handle hire enquiries via telephone, email, and online ordering system.
• Schedule and coordinate engineer workloads, including overtime.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the hire desk.
• Monitor and update machine availability statuses in the system- Manage and monitor equipment compliance, including LOLER and PDI requirements.
• Work closely with engineering and transport teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery of equipment.
• Serve as a friendly and helpful point of contact for depot enquiries, ensuring effective communication with colleagues and customers.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Industry Experience: Prior experience in Plant, Powered Access, Tool, Lifting Equipment or Material Handling industries.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
